1. Select an application method.
Tray immersion: Submerge item in Basic Red 28 for 5 seconds.
Spray application: Evenly apply Basic Red 28 to item with a squirt bottle for 5 seconds.
2. Allow item to air dry.
3. Rinse with distilled water via squirt bottle and allow to air dry again.
4. Ridges will develop a orange color and can be captured using 1:1 photography.
5. View ridge detail using a laser or forensic light source in the 470-550nm range with orange goggles.
6. Capture ridge detail using 1:1 photography and an orange colored or 550 (BP 35) bandpass filter.
